A Smile Is Just A Curve

A Smile Is Just A Curve

A Poem by dtroosh

Ive stared at this ceiling for what seems like a year
Screaming my weaknesses, and whispering my fears
The walls of my boxed up life start closing in
I cant even manage the slightest of grins

Happiness can be easy to fake for someone with practice
Life is no fun when its as fake as a Hollywood actress
Emotions inside become harder to hide
When theyre stored in a shaken bottle thats ready to blow

Stay the f**k away im a walking disaster
Choose someone ive lost and just as her
Im no good at keeping what i need
So take this good advice and please just f*****g leave

The lines in my face are carved from a broken smile
I tried to run away but barely made it a mile
Before I collapsed, relapsed and fell into blackness
Dont cry for me when you find me here
I just couldnt make it, I always had to fake it

Depression is frowned upon and anger is unacceptable
So Ill fake my life, before i take my life
Because maybe if I pretend enough my dreams can finally become reality

Happiness can be easy to fake for someone with practice
Life is no fun when its as fake as a Hollywood actress
Emotions inside become harder to hide
When theyre stored in a shaken bottle thats ready to blow

The lines in my face are carved from a broken smile
I tried to run away but barely made it a mile
Before I collapsed, relapsed and fell into blackness
Dont cry for me when you find me here
I just couldnt make it, I always had to fake it
