The 36th Hour

The 36th Hour

A Poem by Secret Life of Me
"

this is not just about childbirth, it's more about reaching the point in your life when you don't know how you'll go on....

"

The pains,

drawn out  and abandoned -

Help isn’t coming around the bend.

Your body separates

From your soul

And every breath you draw

Comes gratefully, tragically~

There’s nothing left

Of the strength you had:

Your blood has clocked out already,

No sun peeking in between the blinds at you

No puff of air blowing across your forehead.

It’s the 36th hour

And the doctor says

It’s coming any moment

But you don’t believe it.

I love your writing too, woman. Breathe, just breathe .....

But you did go on and you will continue to go on because you are a fighter not a quitter. Even when it is hard, you never give up. I'm proud to call you friend....

Have I mentioned that I love your writing???
