OH OH THE LIFE OF A BABY CRUSH

OH OH THE LIFE OF A BABY CRUSH

A Poem by prince digbani
"

It's all about a little girl that had a crush on a guy who barely took notice of her presence until a certain day at the beach.

"

Turning his eyes to the right

He notice her gentle walk as she moves towards him

While counting the sand on the beach

With a smile on her face she takes a peak of his face

Quickly she shies away at the sight of his eyes

Burying her face to hide the smile

With her hands demurely clasped together behind her back

She says with a calm and melodious voice  'Hi'

Drawing a circle round herself with her legs

Expecting to be noticed by her crush

With an exploding joy in her heart

She raises her face to his reply

OH! OH! she says in her heart

He has finally noticed me

Taking her by her hands

He gently pulled her closer to himself

Whispering sweet words to her ears

While she blushes away in the gentle sea breeze

Like a newly wedded couple

They walk down the sandy beach together

Talking and laughing as they share their feelings

OH! OH! the life of a baby crush

Lovely free verse poem! I enjoy the read very much.

A few edits:
I think the lines could benefit from added punctuation

"He [noticed] her… "

"…she takes a [peek at] his… " "peak" is the top or summit of an elevation; and you peek "at" not of a thing.

The 7th line is a tad awkward. Maybe something like: [With her hands demurely clasped together behind her back]. Your phrase is evocative… just little odd-man-out in the flow with the rest of the free verse.

"…calm and melodious [voice, 'Hi.']"

"Drawing a circle round herself with her [toe,]" She could only draw a circle with her leg if she had no foot below the ankle.

"[Oh! Oh!] she says in her heart."

"[Oh! Oh! The] life of a baby crush…"
