Take A Walk With Me

Take A Walk With Me

A Poem by destiny

"take a walk with me", he says,

"and i will try to explain,

you are the moonlight shining upon your hair,

tired eyes opening unto the break of day.

you are the whisper of angels' sweet lullabyes,

the pastel blue of your honest eyes,

the first bird to cry at the brink of sunrise,

the wild peonies growing beneath your feet.

heaven does call,

you refuse to listen,

and still your lips search for mine.

but have i told you that you are

the breath of my young?

the sound of a newborn child's first cry?"

"take a walk with me",he says,

"and listen to the words trapped behind my lips.

you are the pace of my heartbeat,

the burn of desire,

the break of light into a black abyss.

take a walk with me".

just needed a little edit --- with the word "Lullabies"...but it's a sound verse...the usage of your lines and the repeater...gives us as the reader a breather as you go about your lines...as if the one saying these words is convincing you...
