You Betrayed Me

You Betrayed Me

A Poem by Madeline Sime

You betrayed me
You became my worst enemy
Maybe it's because you envy me
Or maybe it's because you want me
To only be depressed and have no fun in my life's journey.
I only think of you and what you done as a felony.
I really cared about you and believed you cared about me.
But I guess I was wrong about your intentions towards me
And what I believed to be love turned into hell for an eternity.
Next time I'll watch my back and always remember what you did to me.
Maybe I was wrong trusting you with everything that was mines
Or maybe this is good because it opened up my eyes
To life's unforgettable crimes.
You betrayed me
You became my worst enemy
Just for a guy.

this poem has so much feeling of anger and rage at your best friend someone who you trusted so dearly unfortunately I've felt that pain. you did a wonderful job of portraying the feelings
