paint me

paint me

A Poem by Madeline Sime

Paint me as I am
Paint me with music
Paint me with dance
Paint me with poetry
Paint me with love
Most of all paint me happy
But don’t paint me
With sorrow,
Depress,
Lonely,
And destroyed.
Paint me
In Gods arms
Looking into his face
With admiration
And devotion.
Paint me new
Like a newborn child
Or like a new butterfly
A frog hopping around,
With puppy eyes
A great big smile
Looking for its kisser.
Paint me
With every color
That screams out happy
Paint me as me
But don’t paint the pain
Paint the happy memories
The sad tears should be lefted out
Cause I want you to paint me
With a new beginning
And full of faith.
