dont call me your baby or boo

dont call me your baby or boo

A Poem by Madeline Sime

Don't call me
Your baby or boo
Yes it is you I want to woo
But that's the name
All the ones before me had
I know I shouldn't be mad
And I'm not
But I don't want to be called your baby, boo
If everytime you do
You will be thinking of all the others before me
I am not saying I expect you to be a saint
All I'm saying is that I want you all the same
I want to be unique
I want to be the lyrics to your music
I want to be the beat to your songs
I want to be your one and only
I want to be the pulse to your veins
I want to be the cure to all your pains
I know have you been broken hearted before
So have I
I think its time
that you had somebody to show what love is
I know I can't never measure up to the ones before me
However
I'm definitely going to try
To be the one
You will love forever.
