the reddest rose

the reddest rose

A Poem by h d e rushin

   the minds absurdism,

absorbing light like the death row

   convicted.

   apterous of method,

   bald arbiter of

   sequened energy.

   adhoc and filled with Bors

   exchange, dewey and calamitous,

   your morning burlesque,

   wide as red bunting on

   postwar beds, sage,

   semen stained with entropy.

   bees overheard your fuss about

   the misqueto's ouster.

   I concur.

he had no place or smell.

   the pounds warm assortment

   in the room,

   mumbo as an almanac

   but divine as scripture.

I found a thorn below your cheek.

   Actions for the throne?

A final shouting of the desperate?

   and made encasement,

   medallion tragic,

   tied together, breathing

   shallow as the dead.

   I named it bouquet

after the suggest of your hoof,

   quartered your backs

   like a fish

   suffocating without

   acquittal.

   far beyond vermeil,

   far beyond puberscence,

   your covering with hair and honey;

   Misguided flames

   come to burn

   your roots.
