I don’t think women are built to be content with relationships. I think women are nurturers, and as such, they expect the nurturee, be it a child or relationship, to develop and eventually outgrow them; and if it doesn’t, it’s a disappointment. Im most likely way off base though. Haha

I don't think that no single person (at least no single America person) is meant to be content. I mean, even in marriage people expect a certain "niche" in which to hide their specific desires and wants. Finding someone who truly understands you is so 1950's. I'm sure that it can be done but only after subtle discrimination. Thanks love for your insight. dana

I took a few months off also. But I write, at least, a poem a day. Mostly rushed out and uncertain poems caught at the exact moment when uncertainty becomes atomic. 2021 killed so much inspiration in all of us. Thanks for stopping by and happy new year to you.. dana

Your poem reminds me that I stopped wishing for this a long time ago. Not in a bad way, tho. It's better not to be yearning . . . seeing that my happiness is right here, in everything I DO enjoy (((HUGS)))

I think poetry has the onus of a more inward ontology. It tries to be real even with your responsibilities and burdens are on full display ; And yet refuses the priori argument that happiness is never theoretical but involves either yourself or someone else. The old folks use to tell me that if your looking for it, you may not ever find it. Love is too exclusive to ever be just "found". But hurt is almost always intentional. I want to find out why hurt happens so easily and love happens so suddenly. Thanks for your strong words love. dana
