my anger is astronomy

my anger is astronomy

A Poem by h d e rushin
"

to wear the ring means you are a drag queen.

"

i use to have an 18 year olds body

that on occasion I still reach for;

that I wish would wrap me in eternity

like the snakes of Caduceus/. I'm

so f*****g board I want to just die.

And of course i'm being silly and

Christian at the same time, an

instrument in which a guiding intellegence

achieves salvation, like the moon,

no less, coming each night to be

logical, then going home to be

supermassive and black.

I didn't know there were so

many heart broken White women making sounds

since no one person ever grieved like Dickinson,

at least not now. It hides like Hercules

this sorrow. Each time I wipe it away

it comes back in quatrain and alone.

@.

It's the seventh day of the final month of 2013

which is the day the Asian woman comes

to Detroit's backrooms to pump industrial

grade silicone in the hips and breasts of the

transsexuals. You should see the happiness,

aged and joyful, until the sun rises

on the dragon in the motorcade,

on the arm of the convertible,

thirsty and lacefront.

somewhere there is tolerance. A

forgiving of Sowetto,

Sobibor perhaps;

this dread, the way

Saturn sets glistening on this

pile of silver rings.

don't we all reach for that time period of greater joint flexibility and boundless energy? I remember being 18 and making love for 2 days straight with a young man who is no longer with us. at some point in the delirium, I am sure we exchanged gender roles and I experienced an orgasm as a man. I never craved it enoough to change my gender, but it sure did have some important messages for me about orientation and compass points and degrees of separation. But then, you know all this, I am sure.

and the abundance of avatars is proof that we most of us would, if given half achance, turn into someone else. If only for a day.

Indeed powerful and quantifiable stuff, the maids in row, the planetary alignment of fairy dust on the back of a locomotive with Zorro masked atop just passing borders to belt lines from out of town to heroism insight...great piece
