that poem for headstrong lovers.

that poem for headstrong lovers.

A Poem by h d e rushin

I HELD YOU CLOSE;

CONSPICUOUS IS THE HEART

THAT FUNCTIONS LIKE A CARJACKING.

YOU JUMP OUT,

STRANGERS JUMP IN,

YOU HAND THEM THE KEYS.

THEY KILL YOU.

maybe the death is worth it...we never pick up hitchhikers anymore either...afraid of what will happen..

i don't mind being heartjacked...

worth risk...and the heart might get beat up..but doesn't die completely...just nearly dead.

we get so suspicious of people, so suspicious of love...after bad experiences we wish we could go back to that innocence we had before we learned too much.

i stopped to help a black man on a country road one dark winter morning

my friends were all aghast what if he robbed/raped/killed you?

but he didn't

They do indeed, I never promised you a rose garden, but what I said is that I'd be your friend until I was forced not to, unconditionally, all 5' 10" of you, and now, I have to go, but if you write, I will read you, I will always read...you.

Wow been there before..put it in neural and push yourself out before putting it in reverse, it will only get you dug in deeper...unless there's a barrel without laughs pointed at your head. then, all bets are off and your hero to your self is letting go of the wheel instinctual..You definitely CAPITALIZED on this situation
