the love at 2 percent.

the love at 2 percent.

A Poem by h d e rushin

SORRY.

I happen to champion the spirit of the downtrodden.

The spirit of UNHAPPINESS.

This is because 94 percent of time

i'm unhappy.

Two percent is bliss.

Two percent uncertain.

And since Grandma taught me to save,

I keep another two percent in reserve

just in case I happen to meet someone

on my walk to the corner gas station

to play my lottery, who wants bad to be loved

just two percent of the time. Or who

will refuse to require more than two

percent of my fractioned heart

to break.

Seems like that 2% is pretty important!
BOOM. Love it.

I'm stuck in a loop of confusion at the ending..
this is very traumatically gloomy; it's necessary
to understand these moods, though, I believe
one day it would be nice to have a conversation
in a park, during a riot, with our conversation
being epically more important than our safety
I'm still confused by numbers and phrases like
'mutually exclusive' at times, but it's all good
because I've done my share of confusing people
compared to confusing myself, it doesn't really
compare, i suppose..so yes, well done uprooting
comprehension & comfort level & befuddling me
that's always a pleasure a treasure & an honour

Let there never be another morning that I awaken to find no poetry from this milk carton.
