"NURSE"A Poem by h d e rushinA LOVE POEM
When I said, 'let me die alone', she folded the table top to my unmeaning and opened my apple juice for me. Flooded the room with the universes most powerful voice. I could have been unknown but for the chart that bore my name/ She wore a wedding ring with a tiny diamond that struggled each morning to luster. Told me she was devorced ten-thousand times, and each time, made a quiet face. Stood me up to button my smock in the back. Saw my mad, rusty a*s. Anylyzed the nature of my heart by examining in detail tiny electrical black pulses on a rolling piece of unpacked life. Polished her nails in the prettiest pink shade. Kept her blouse buttoned to the very top because sick men try to look down bosoms, (even when they can't do s**t). Pushed the priest out of the way to check my blood pressure. Hugged my humbled neck on the morning they discharged me. nurse. © 2013 h d e rushinReviews
