touching thru timeA Poem by h d e rushin
Perhaps it's just symbiosis, the close union of two dissimilar organisms. Yeah, that's what love is. And I am proof that you really don't have to be cooperative. Just take each others shapes like my parents did at the end. Finishing each-others sentences. Suffering in that commiserate grief that bad poetry makes metaphor of.Yet it is still a physical phenomena, meeting then wanting a thing forever, like the thrum of springtime or a gathering of revolutionaries in which there is this free interchange of ideas.
Writing poetry in a hot room with no windows has so little cultural significance. Sheryl Hayes put her tongue down my throat after gym class in 73 and I can't remember many events that happened in life after that. Because touching is the only human thing that lasts forever. The only thing that can.
And that's why religion was invented, to explain the conventional mechanisms of causality / that some things just happen regardless of mental image. That two ugly people could find eachother in a rainstorm or in algebra class. And words, however floral, are as limited as life. But happening and un-happening
all the time. © 2013 h d e rushinReviews
