love letter

love letter

A Poem by h d e rushin

I am tall.

I love to travel.

I love crumbs, especially bread crumbs.

They present themselves in many

shapes and some even

spell out billet doux

when the knee hits the

table leg.

With conspicuous display,

I wipe them clean

with a damp

rag.

Breadcrumbs are archetypes. So is love for that matter. Syncronicity with left overs.

Very interesting poem... This is pulling on all my powers of lateral thinking, and I love that.

Bread crumbs make a wonderful meatloaf, love letters are only addressed by criminals
in 8x10 holding cells doing hard labor, time spent for caring to damn much. A whole human being could have been formed and birthed in the time it takes to write a love letter.

i keep crumbs in the freezer, so very frugal that cornbread and gingerbread never gets leftover, i can always find some use for it on another day

I feel like I'm still trying to wrap my head around this.

But I like it.

A lot.

It's very simple, yet complicated enough for me to read and read and reread it.

Good writing!
