I got your letter.

I got your letter.

A Poem by h d e rushin
"

a love poem

"

I love you thricely, nicely

jejuneness, witness,

tricely but flimsily,

this morning jawdroppingly,

green chalcedony, jasper jerkily,

nylon stockingly,

distal, proximal,

tickle me spinaltappingly,

invite me invetro,

in bundles and bindings

I tied you up nicely,

properly, property,

bounding gate capable,

easily culpable, pink panties

magical, I see you peripheral,

honorable, mythological,

in estrus disturbable,

turkey-red, bleeding out

ambulance came again,

infatuation discharge,

instructions from emergency,

not natural, voiding especially

tongue work like brushwork

loose stool overacting. Exactness

and careful, lonesome

interaction, important transmission,

humans call it rain tree, eaten by cattle,

homogeneity,

tell me, what do you make of me?

Peanut or pearlescence?

Hornrims or pince-nez?

Streaked plumage or bird dropping?

Sidearm or overhand,

how should I slap thee?

Spirited, mineral,

hard driven spinning wheel.

Suspire, moon walker

turbid mad

misery/

I got your letter.

This poem made me really want to read that letter. I'm curious now. See what you did? You got me all curious.

I see you working dana. I see you working. You are not afraid. I love that about your work, and lately it has been You experimenting (to great effect) with structure, and wordplay. Where other writers consider the use of one, two or maybe the third word you consider the tenth... And I learn from you. Terrific piece, dana
