haustellum of a waterwheelA Poem by h d e rushin
I tried to half myself the same way cancer half's you;
one day the story is so clear then they take your blood
and someone walks in your room with an anthem of burned villages
and the only thing you think of is the dogs left behind with no water,
with new porches to try and remember, with new button holes to enlarge,
with new gardens of snap dragons to pee in. And all,
just as suddenly as the ache under your armpit
