Happy for Now

I'm happy for now,
But forever's too long,
Keep my chin up,
I have to be strong.

The day is bright,
Cheerful for you,
My own rain cloud,
No light shines through.

My smile may glow,
But soon will fade out,
Promises are made,
And not followed out.

From kiss to touch,
From hug to shove,
My heart is too cold,
To ever feel love.

My tears cannot fall,
I won't let them through,
I have to be strong,
It's the best thing to do.

"Stand up straight!,
Dry those tears!",
Pain that I've felt,
For too many years.

"You're stupid!, You're weak!,
Stop acting like that!,
Don't smile!, Look down!,
You're ugly and fat!"

I've said it too long,
I won't anymore,
I'm strong- Not weak,
I'm rich- Not poor.

Rich with smiles,
Hugs and friends,
People that love me,
'Till the end.

Friends are the best,
Life is great,
Life is too short,
To be living in hate.
