Dark of the Night

Dark of the Night

A Poem by +xDrunkenFairytalex+

What once made you shine, will soon make you fade,
Don't look down too long, for light turns to shade.
The light in the sky will soon become dark,
Guard well yourself, there, sadness will lark.
Your love and your smiles will soon drift away,
Run fast to grab it, or lonesome you will stay.
Don't let down your guard on the good and the great,
Stop kidding yourself, there's none such as "Fate".
Fairytales are for books and dreams,
"True happiness" is fake, or, so it seems.
Life is wonderful today, but torn up tomorrow,
You had better watch out, you'll be living in sorrow.
Sorrow is sad and depressing to see,
No one can save you, not god, nor me.
It's all up to you, can you save yourself,
In the end you have you, and nobody else.
So, clean up your mess and remember your light,
For soon all you will see is the dark of the night.

Haha so true. All my friends around me are drowning because they just won't save themselves & fix really easy problems, & I'm the only one sitting above the surface in a fancy boat like "wtf guys just climb in o.o!" I LOVE rhymed poems, they keep your thoughts in check, & this was perfectly spot on. Many many kudos & not a complaint in sight. ^^
