Sitting peaceful near my tree,
Wond'ring what does Christmas bring,
-To all the hearts, with joy they sing.
Christmas is the twinkling lights,
upon that tree, glist'ning bright.
Giggling, nagging, sitting hush,
Gifts in piles make children rush,
-And wish the night, please change to morn',
to bring sweet smiles, faces ablush,
Our Christmas tree- with treats adorn.
Drifting dreamfully I realize,
Christmas is- to our surprise,
One sweet day full of cheer,
But it only comes, one day a year.
Ready to rest, I raise to my feet,
The gentle scent of pine, I greet,
I see my reflection in the ornament, shine,
And whisper, "Merry Christmas. It'll be devine."
