A nation of Puppets

A nation of Puppets

A Poem by Matt Artis
"

Just another brief political poem, inspired by the photo.

"

Unwarranted fears abound

That ignorance can only compound

Going through life so fearful

Your every move a choreographed string pull

Why can’t you see

That a puppet is all you’ll be

Networks performing digital ventriloquism

To spread their antagonism

Reciting other’s words

Lacerating innocence with verbal swords

Why can’t you see

That a puppet is all you’ll be
