Apache

Apache

A Poem by Steph Crandall

Loud and obnoxious on occasion.

Funny and caring.

Musically talented with

a bass in hand.

Joking around with all of us,

you unknowingly catch my eye.

It took time to warm up,

but once there was comfort,

you took hold of me.

Your personality caught me off guard

and knocked me out.

With our two hours, maybe once a week,

you’ve managed to pull me in,

but I’m sure you have no idea.

My innocence and lack of courage

has left you oblivious to what’s

really going on in my head.

Loud and obnoxious on occasion.

Innocence and lack of courage.

Can it be that opposites attract?

Are we opposite enough?
