I watched it
I witnessed the heavens change resembling the ambient ocean
I felt the wind surpass its current and disperse away everything good with it
I felt the chill dive through my veins to leave me motionless yet alive
I watched the sun dissipate to the point when not one ray could pierce the blockading clouds
I watched the shadows engulf the land till darkness was the triumphant leader
I felt each singular hair stand erect In dire fear of what was to come
I felt my heart pause when it was confronted face to face with the arriving storm
I watched as everyone else backed away, leaving me alone with the true storms fury
I sat, I waited, I lived, I survived
I embraced my fears, I found the strength deep inside to take this storm head on
I watched as the first tears dropped, knowing well that the storm was still to come
I watched the shades of light die darker with each prevailing second
I felt the wind grow so strong that if I had wings I swear I could have given birth to flight
I watched it hit, deploying chaos and insanity, fear and strength, death and destruction
I felt the storm beat me to the ground with the intensity of two dueling boxers
I heard the thunder explode overhead as if a secret war was taking place above these darkened clouds
I watched as darkness bow before the streams of light which illuminated the sky
I watched this intently for ages, I observed it, I learned from it, I watched till it for some reason died down
I watched as the sun broke through its cage and re-arrived to replenish the forsaken land below it
I felt each hair lay back to rest and every chill melt away as if it had never existed
I felt the wind breakaway from its strenuous stranglehold and slowly retreat away
I watched it
I watched the sun.
