Singing My Tunes to the DivineA Poem by Drowning In RealityArt: Beads by J.PlanetSinging My Tunes to the Divine We begin our travels At birth We go for as long As our body can thrive And then we start anew This is our existence This is eternity Each life a pilgrimage A trip of Divine Potential I stand at the threshold Of my chosen path My road to Oz No longer in Kansas Peace eludes me Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale My life intersects With others I know love exists. I felt love’s feathery touch. I cannot love myself Without the others I am myself Only as good as I am told Only at peace when I please The threads of fate Are measured in Love I am woven with desire To explore anew Only the three sisters Can tell me what will be As they read the waters I am the spider of reality I spin therefore I am I unravel When strong winds Blow Afraid to fall Breathing in my strength Exhaling my fear I must remember my mission The goal of the pilgrimage The Holy Grail of purpose Shines most brightly When the lights are out I am on the road to nowhere Singing my tunes to the Divine… © 2017 Drowning In Reality |
