The SortingA Poem by Drowning In RealityArt: China Tree by J.PlanetThe Sorting Creativity drowns In stagnant waters A shark must keep moving Or it dies I must keep moving Or I die No compromise in sight Imprisoned by ego Chained to anger Third eye closed Horus snores Irritatingly in the corner Crucified by my prejudices Blind to solutions Sophia’s back turned Diplomacy snubbed Perception blindfolded From Truth Intuition mistrusted Despair seeps into consciousness Unwashed and naked I cower ignorant of protocol The sorting must begin The garden must be plowed Time to discard ideals Rotted on the vine Agitations must be pruned Habits reformed I bow to the cosmic Will Her will becomes mine I clear out the debris Sorting that which endures From that which suffocates Rebirth requires amnesia Entering heaven requires letting go The eye of the needle is narrow Sweep up the remnants of what was Fertilizing what remains Spring lies on the horizon Patience is my salvation © 2017 Drowning In Reality |
