FocusA Poem by Drowning In RealityArt: Ivy Dala by J.PlanetFocus I often wonder If I have focused On the proper path I have found Nirvana Within various moments In Samsara Throughout my life I believe That I shall gain Materially If I perform Divinely I can only judge My behavior Through its Consequences Yet I stand Uncertain Of any reward I have done What I can Now I await another To announce That my work Resonates truth In their heart As much as it Resonates In mine My unique perspective My wisdom surfaced From pain endured I got it the hard way I earned it Suffering led To learning Which led to Change In how I Perceived myself And the world Around me I have found joy Where once Discontent weighed me down I have created A world within Which reflects Love To the world Without Realizing my dreams Finding the love within Which never falters Which stops Looking around for judgment Now I look within It brings me peace My goal to choose And accept my choices And their consequences Without regret Nirvana remains in the distance Like a mirage in the desert An oasis reached When I stop striving And receive Every action a prayer Every reaction God’s reply Accepting gratefully As is my duty Learn from my mistakes Instead of fighting with Self Over my perceived failings And realize my full potential So I may share my gifts With the world Shalom © 2017 Drowning In Reality |
