So I Became Light

So I Became Light

A Poem by Drowning In Reality

So I Became Light

There was a reason
That baseball was played
During the day
It requires the beauty
Of a sunlit sky
To appreciate its splendor

My garden shines in the sun as well
From belladonna to hosta
Joy abounds
Near the end of another cycle
One journey’s goal
Surrounded by darkness

So I became the light
Hope my favorite companion
Although she likes to skip ahead
The glory of day shines in my light
Even If others can’t see
The power of the sun lies in me

The power of the Son becomes me
Mother Earth warms in my glow
Fire, Air, Water and Earth synthesized within
Male and Female united in Joy
I am the All. I am the One. I am Creation
I am at peace with what must be

Spirit in harmony with All
Celestial within and without
Integrated
Bread of Life
Eternity Incarnate
Just like you
