In Humble Gratitude

Wisdom lights my way

I take lessons hard learned

And apply them to my life

Mistakes are candles for the future

Their teachings brighten my path

Masters offer me lessons on creativity

I kneel at their feet in humble gratitude

I express because their examples shine

I ken my life like a novel lived

No one endured my trials, but me

I offer them so others may avoid my pain

Epiphanies are hard fought

I see like a cat in the darkness

My sufferings are blessings from God

Wisdom comes from experience

I understand because I feel

What was hidden comes to light

Memories flood consciousness

All that I have been is past

All that I will be rises from here

I choose not to repeat my mistakes.

I am enlightened by them instead

I trust my feelings like never before

I am open to their understanding

Emotions know what words cannot express

I sit in my cave awaiting answers

They ride toward me on chariots of fire

I embrace the rider with the Self

He guides me to my next adventure

We are One in Creative Thought

We burn in the Passion of Art
