Tabula Rosa

Tabula Rosa

A Poem by Drowning In Reality

Tabula Rosa

I am unfulfilled, incomplete

I strive for a goal

Which appears further and further away

I am not as I should be

Yet I am as I am

I will be as I choose

I change to attain my goals

I am tabula rosa, waiting to be filled

I work toward moving from here to there

Satisfaction depends on my power to succeed

I am not in balance

I tilt to see my destination

My goals are in question as are my values

I must follow my bliss to where it leads

That is home

I take the first step
