Shadowland

Shadowland

A Poem by Drowning In Reality

Shadowland

Dionysus sings a pretty song

Ruin the consequence

If not moderated

Madness seductive

Liberation illuminating

Yet home comforts

Consequences result

From each choice

The walk between what is right

And what is easy

A high wire act

Balance essential

Ego stings

Exhaustion reigns

Pedals fall; Emotions unresolved

Sorrow rules the subconscious

Hangovers never pretty

Yet eyes perceive truth

Virtue exists in prudence

Everything in balance

I believe in Love

I will not fall into agony’s sea

Anchors released

Karma mine to endure

I pass through the shadowland

As She Wills
