Democracy

Democracy

A Poem by Drowning In Reality

Democracy

I see Creation as equal

If Heaven was created

To contrast the Earth

Then benevolence lies

In the eye of the beholder

Ideals only die

When we stop believing

Truth lies naked

Awaits love to set Her free

Such is the nature of reality

That which is precious

Remains precious

Throughout time

Those discarded by society

Draw attention to civil rights

Matter comes and goes

Heaven remains

An inhale away

Smile sheepishly

At the great cosmic joke

I sing a song of the Divine

Metatrone within humanity

All sing of the Name

Without a name

Through behavior

Goals imperfectly achieved

Still a joy to behold

Machiavelli sniggers in his corner

I sigh because it is so

Perfection discovered indiscriminately

Only control is mine

How I play my part

Serve my purpose

Put forth into the world

Know I receive in kind

Yin surrenders

Yang projects

Balance achieved

Creates bliss

Reaches for Immortality

Bliss sought externally

Dependent on another

Inconsistent

Unconditional love

Projected from within

Boundless love

Wealth beyond limits

Existence eternal

Holding together the universe

On the point of a pin

on first reading i am lost in the scatter gun approach of snippets of revelations here and vague opinions there ..
first verse one can argue that Religious cosmotology has a distinct order of creation which begins with a Diety ..not heaven created after and in contrast to Earth ... so your new thought on it is a difficult one ..at least for me ... following the logic of your last two lines in that verse is also difficult for me to follow ... did not know of the band Metatrone so thank you for some new music for me to check out ;) .. overall i think you brign up a lot of points for one to think about but i also think that this poem may benefit from a little trimming of theme ... it seems to bounce around from Religious to metaphysical to concrete with unclear connections ... but perhaps that is just me ..perhaps i need to come back and read again
