I Reach For a Flower

I Reach For a Flower

A Poem by Drowning In Reality

I Reach for a Flower

This is a day of completion.
I reap what I sow.
I give unto others
For what I long in my soul.
Peace my chosen path
Always strings attached
I give to receive.
Tolerance for all,
Even the intolerant.

Ego sacrificed.
Displaced anger
Time a passage
Narrow of mind
Means narrow of heart.
Forgiveness the key.
No weeds in my garden.
Qiploth of pain quenched.

The dead can harm no longer

Harmony a choir
Actions united
Voices raised in joy.
Angels offer smiles
As they pass by

On their merry way.
I reach for a flower and sigh.

Mourn no more
Reward is nigh.
