A Poem by Drowning In Reality

Basics

My family, my anchor

My home, my creation

Chaos surrounds me

Still we thrive

I take the long way

Always have

Don’t trust short cuts

Accept consequences

This is all I have in the world

This is all I want in the world

My treasures are few

Consolidated for mobility

Change constant

Now Eternal

Not what I was

Not what I will be

Surrender to life

Only way to survive

Sanity somewhat intact

Ignore that giggle

Gratitude essential

The world

Genesis called it good

As good as we make it

Perfection a dream

Roads of life

Filled with pot holes

Damn the suspension

Reality a union

Ideas open to Matter

Like Her Lover

Gives birth to Now

As I type these words

At this very minute

We Are

Rejoice

Drowning In Reality
Bugger... I wanted Beatles Ode to Joy from Help, but I couldn't find it in YouTube. Sigh. Had to go straight!
