Light as a Feather

Light as a Feather

A Poem by Drowning In Reality
"

Inspired by J.Planet's art. Happy Birthday dearest J.

"

Light as a Feather

I am

The sum of my parts

Eternal Now

Materialized

I remember a past

I look forward to a future

But there is only Now

I grow

With each inhale

Steadfastly rooted

With each exhale

I seek my center

I close my eyes

Where’d it go?

It was here a moment ago

But that moment’s past

Must reclaim it

Now

So I can move on

Peace is there

Tranquility often fragile

Blows in the breeze

Lacks an anchor

Light as a feather

Higher than a kite

I rise myself up

I can almost touch it

If I hold

Perfectly

Still

Perhaps it will

Just

 float

down

Allowing me to enjoy

The wonder
