EternityA Poem by ItwasonceuponatimeForever we are, never we are!As we gaze into the night sky, what do we see? Well, we define it as eternity But is that true? Yes, stars are forever, but also they die, They shine their brightest until they dim and die. Funny isn't it, how this is so familiar. Think about this, dear reader, then continue with my words. Humans, isn't it, dear reader? We try to prove ourselves, to others, and so that we too can shine, But that is the problem! We try to shine so bright so others might see us, And then, what then? We burn out. We reach our limit in eternity, And we wither and die. So dear reader, remember, eternity cannot exist, For everything in all of the universe Tends to destroy itself, eventually. So save you're light, shine for yourself, For others do not deserve your light, As they will waist it, and watch you die. For this is the universe we live in, The dark and broken reality, So cruel and twisted, yet masked as beauty, Masked as eternity.
