Woman with the heart of goldA Poem by ItwasonceuponatimeWell, let's just say i have no idea why i even wrote this! You, the one that gave me life That gave me love and taught me how to love Thought me what it means to be, and to be had Are now my biggest fear. For your ever knowing eyes see into my soul But they should not venture there In there is something that will take you from me Take you and leave me with only memories of what i had Of who you were and what i was to you. So this is my plea, do not look there. Woman with the eyes as blue as the ocean, Woman with a smile as bright as a thousand suns Woman with hands as soft as snow Woman who should not know. For I am a mistake, concealed behind a wall of lies Of lies that keep you in my life. So don't! Take your eyes off of my soul and see only of What i want you to see, for without you I am lost.
