ragged edge

ragged edge

A Poem by william andrews

Do you stand

on the ragged edge

where your thoughts whisper

come join the dead

as you

look at your world

where chaos hides

behind every smile

you thought

was alive

Dark in every sense of the word, not a ray of hope or shimmer of light is found here, it creates this atmosphere with poise and ease. This is not a piece that will allow the reader to hope, it takes those doubts you have about life, friends, love, laughter, and smothers you with them. But the fact that it does this without overwrought prose, complex metaphor, or labyrinth like structure is quite astounding. I must tip my hat to you for that.

A brilliant read, to be avoided if one is feeling down I should think ha! But in all earnestness bravo, I am glad I found your work I shall be reading over more of your work.

Regards,
A.E.
