Tenets of Religion

You can chant 

fast or pray 
as long as you wish 
but nothing 
will change 
it will just 
get worse 
because through you 
your god has become 
corrupt 
because through you

weak 
because through you 
allowing the words 
of your prophets 
to walk the path 
that merges 
into the jungles 
of greed and pain 
where you teach your children 
the words 
with no understanding 
of the meaning 
of the words 
the prophets 
were feeling
