Bright color flashes from our TV screen, Roadrunner getting the best of Wile E. Mornings of pancakes and feetie PJs lounging about on this lovely snow day.
Today there's no History or Phys-ed, we will be watching The Flintstones instead. After our breakfast and favorite shows we've nothing to do but play in the snow.
Mother will bundle us from head to toe to look like three overstuffed marshmallows. And when we are done we'll sit by the fire drinking hot cocoa, our clothes in the dryer.
Dreaming of astronauts we'll be someday lounging about on this lovely snow day.
Those WERE the days. Despite my ... um, nontraditional ... childhood... THIS did exist in it and when I need touchstones, there they are, frozen until my hands are around a cup containing steam and minimarshmallows. Pitch perfect, you bring back a winter world.
this is great, reminds me of when we were younger and craved that snow day off from school only to wake up early and lounge around watching cartoons anyways!! nice!!
