A haiku with balls.
and a little sex thrown in
You do have the fearless thing going. Kill the note. This is gold in a 5/7/5 with some irony thrown in.
F*****g A
hahahahaha I love it! I am SOOOO seeing Jane Fonda as I read this!!!!!! And hearing, "These boots are made for walking and that's just what they'll do..."
This puts an interesting slant on the interpretation of the image, and goes a little deeper than its simple words and imagery might indicate. There is an ironic contradiction presented in the image of the woman it describes, and more unconventional than perception through history allows. The two sides of the era co-mingled: fashion and politics. Liberal glamour and extreme left-wing views seem strange comrades, but that kind of hypocrisy exists as much today as it did then. How many of the so-called 'demonstrators' and 'campaigners' truly believed or understood just what they were fighting for - especially amongst the young..? Like many of them, perhaps they wanted their cake and eat it, as the saying goes. The interpretation goes deeper still than that but this poem hints at a larger can of worms that one could discuss ad infinitum.
Despite its apparently dismissive brevity and simplicity, an interesting piece.
