--Compose--A Poem by Derek12 years since this one was written!
Compose my silent moments, Try to fill them with reassurance, When thinking becomes something grander, A thought invoking process, That unravels another mystery. . So clear the pictures, So faded too, You toss me around, You force me to choose. . Inspire the fire, To ignite, Delay the reactions, That forces me into my night. . I simply know, to contemplate, The starlight feelings, I try to recreate, The action brought forth, The dismal webs in my head. . Cleansing the valley, My old hallways, My antiques, May require a little dusting, Stored away, In the infinite doors, To initiate them, To open up again, My own cold war. . Inflicting my current situation, I portray a notion, Revealing my mime, My quiet self, Dazed in the current, Flowing out into the ocean. . Impatient my calculations, Reliving the constant pain, I revise a plan, To achieve the upper hand. To distribute my relics, My splendid ideals, In fact my fiction, Never seemed so real. . You are always dictating, With your shattered insinuating, That I'm less than perfect, Hey at least you’re right, But less than you, Now that's your first mistake tonight. . Resolutions on my new year’s eve, I wonder about the time I fled, From your agonizing torture, That you’re sprayed in words, Stabbing so viciously, Into my echoing ears, So that was what I said, I didn't want to hear you. . So I closed the door, To my make shift mind, Rigged it for a better purpose, And left you out this time, So that I could clean the attic, My old rusty gates, And no more I had to think about you, I wish I wouldn't have waited so late. . So now I'm floating free, and I'm plunging fast, I don't care if you try to catch me, I'm safe at last. . ~EnD~ . Myth-of-illusion (c) 1999 © 2011 Derek |
