In the sunshine of my mind

Good thoughts propel me.

In the sunshine of my mind,

I plant the seeds of hope;

in the portals of my thoughts,

I know that I can cope.

With anything that comes my way,

be it foul or be it fair;

there's a will that survives,

most any worldly care.

In the soul of my desire,

I will take on life;

with passions that sustain me,

my home, my friends, my wife.

In the heart that I possess,

I will sing God's song;

through the day and night,

through life, however long.

In the sunshine of my mind,

I will welcome you;

through creative poetry,

in whatever I will do.
