Remembering You

Remembering You

A Poem by Aisha Mnd

Dub Dub Dub, that old, forgotten tune
would beat in her ears under the full-moon
where she would lay in a cocoon,
wrapped in his promising arms

She tries to remember the sound
of her heart as it sang
her eyes close and she listens
eagerly, but cannot hear:
her heart has slowed down,
too old and worn for her now
(only his words are heard
like broken vinyls on replay...)

Still, she sits
Silent, she remains
because if she speaks,
she can only speak of you.
