Aevum

A Poem by drh

Lies are so natural.
Have you ever tried to make up a lie?
Painstaking, heart wrenching, and cumbersome.
Impromptu lies flow like a stream fueled by a spring rain.
The more grotesque, preposterous, and damaging....the more believable and temporal.

Truth is unnatural.
It's hard to swallow,
tough to digest,
and difficult to accept.
Most people do not want truth nor do they expect it.
Truth is also painstaking, heart wrenching, and cumbersome.
But it's also enduring, undying, and eternal.

Give me beautiful lies for harsh truths and I'll love you always.
But you must be strong enough to live with my truth.
