Short Lasting

Short Lasting

A Poem by Stormy Wright

as the sand felt comforting beneath my heel,

I possess this emotion I truly feel.
the tide extends toward shore as it wakes,
while nature creates it to evaporate, condensate, precipitate.
rain falls hard and fast onto the solid, steel railway.
as I catch myself off topic, I know what I need to say.

there will be times that struggle like needle and thread, Times that I only wish I had read.
ups and downs are just as difficult too.
what I meant to say was, I'm deeply in love with you.
