Humanity

Humanity

A Poem by CASSARA

Tie-dyed nucleotides betoken,

Where the youths’ peace of mind has spoken,

Untwisting, existing, mangled nonsense is,

The way to re-stitch consciousness,

To make the fabric fit.

Prejudice fails to be eradicated,

Misogyny merely abolished.

Incarceration of the soul remains,

Kept hostage in a box,

Beside a force Pandora could not stop.

So we weather the storm and watch it tarnish

Humanity,

Forsaken when all of evil reigns upon us.
