Eyes of Pressure

Eyes of Pressure

A Poem by krissie

i stand innocuously at the side, but
many eyes direct me to the center

i look in the mirror and try to
form words to express myself

outwardly i may be overbearing, and
i always seem to laugh so much

inside i am inarticulate, driven by
uncertainty and disquiet

i would actually love for you to
teach me how to stand up on my own

i would want to, i think

for you to hold my hand and pull me up
when i hide from the reality of it all

The inablity to talk but the ablity to write. I really love that. It says something more. Kind of reminds of the person that really likes to sing all the time mostly for big crowds. But is really shy. I think a bit of that dualism that most people forget in most people is shown well here.
