CROSSROAD

CROSSROAD

A Poem by Andrew

You are beautiful beyond description,
Standby stare at this gransdiose barrier
Wish that time would continually be still
Serenity, feel the peace of being alive.

Drown your soul, ye tormented one
Raise a lament for the city that was agog
Gone silent not a bark or a slither
Life is indeed in phases.

Who dares to pierce the silence?
Rambling like a demented soul
For in ruminating over ideas,
Sanity cleanses the impure.

Standing at the precipice of greatness and decline
To go, or to stay
Don't dare answer hastily,
Choice or none, determines unlimited outcomes.

How beautiful you are,
As a splinter stuck in my skin
Blissful pain that soothes my pleasure
Terror that calms my peace.
