CHANGE

CHANGE

A Poem by Andrew

The flow of the river
Running quietly, nay deathly still
Sourcing from the giver
Its expressions sometimes chill

The shift of the desert sand
Moving from here to there
Engulfing the arable land
Leaving in its wake no cheer

The pressures of everyday living
Changing you from then to now
Things that were once thriving
Give way to questions of how.

Living now, Thriving how
River Chill, Giver still
Sand there , Land cheer
Friendship quietly drifting away.
