SKY FALL

SKY FALL

A Poem by Andrew

Get in, get out
I let you through, but I don't go through
Your sense of entitlement is so annoying
Moving round but getting nowhere

One at a time, though I hold four
Four quarters of two halves making a whole
No matter how fast I go in my own spinning
I don't get beyond this seeming little fix.

I don't even know the people I let through
Good and evil, all in the whirlpool
All they have to do is push me forwards
And in they go without saying hello.

I witness so many things with my unseeing eyes
I hear so much said without any ears
I've got so much to tell with my sealed lips
But around I go getting nowhere.

Sometimes I wish I was like my other brothers,
Getting things done up and down
But I realise that we are all in the same boat
Going around, up and down and getting nowhere.
